Conditions of Use:
By subscribing to our services and using this website, which is managed and controlled by Books on Tour, you are agreeing to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. We strongly recommend you to read them carefully.
We reserve the right to cancel your access at any time and for any reason, without notice, including as a result of a violation of these Terms and Conditions, or the rights of Books on Tour and/or the rights of a third party.
Privacy:
Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your visit to our website in order for you to understand our practices.
General Terms:
You must be 18 years of age or older to be able to legally enter a biding contract to buy the Books on Tour products.
By visiting Books on Tour, you agree that the German Law, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Terms and Conditions and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and Books on Tour or its associates.
Content and Copyright:
You must not copy, modify, or distribute Books on Tour’s works or trademarks, or other content from the Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, pictures, logos, button icons, images, etc.
The reproduction, display, distribution or transmission of the content of the Books on Tour website is absolutely forbidden, unless approved in writing.
You are not allowed to copy any part of this site into your own website without a written consent from us. You acknowledge and agree that your access to the Books on Tour website does not give you the right to use our image, name and personal information.
Liability:
Under no circumstance will Books on Tour nor its representatives be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses / damages that are the result from the use of, or the inability to use, the site. In any event, Books on Tour’s liability in relation to any category of loss or damage shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the products offered in the site.
In case a product appears in the site with an incorrect price or wrong information due to a typographical error, Books on Tour shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed under this incorrect information, even if the order has been already confirmed in the client’s PayPal account. If this has already been the case, Books on Tour will immediately refund the client to his/her PayPal account.
We cannot guarantee that the services offered at the Books on Tour website will be uninterrupted nor without any errors. Furthermore, we cannot guarantee that the server where our website is hold are free of viruses, adware, etc.
Payment:
Payment will be taken in full at the time you subscribe to our services.
By placing an order, you are contracting to pay for all items purchased by you.
If your PayPal payment fails for whatever reason you will be automatically unsubscribed from our services and will have to sign up again to continue your subscription.
Books on Tour will never see (or have access to) your card / Bank account data. Any of your financial data nor personal details are stored or could be accessed by our website. All your data is stored on PayPal.
Books on Tour is not responsible for any banking charges incurred due to payment being taken from your PayPal account.
Books on Tour reserves the right to refuse or terminate the service to anyone at any time and for no reason. If this happens we will let you know and refund any money we have received for boxes we haven’t sent yet.
Postage and Delivery:
We start dispatching approximately one week after you have subscribed.
Prior to the sending, we must have received your payment.
We will let you know when your order is on the way.
Delivery is included in the price for those living inside Germany. There is an additional charge for boxes shipping outside Germany. The final price depends on your location. Approximately, it costs between 3 – 5 €.
We use the Deutsche Post for both national and international parcels with a non-sign service. Our boxes are made to fit through most letterboxes so that you do not have to be at home to personally receive the parcel. All boxes are not tracked.
German subscribers can expect their box within 1-3 days. International customers within 5-10 days, depending on location. Please keep in mind that these timeframes could be lengthen in periods of time like Christmas season.
Please allow 10 working days before contacting us about a missing delivery or 15 working days if you are outside Germany.
Books on Tour cannot be hold responsible for delays that are caused by the postal service, whether this be the Deutsche Post or the national post service of your country .
It is your responsibility to ensure the address we have for you is correct. Please be extra careful when you are writing your address while signing up and also please check twice your Paypal receipt. We cannot be held responsible for failed delivery if the address we have from you is not correct.
If you need to change your address during your subscription period please contact us as soon as possible to avoid any problems with your future deliveries.
Returns and Exchanges:
If the book you receive is a title you already own or have already read, unfortunately we are unable to exchange it nor provide a refund. Books on Tour cannot know specifically which books you may already own.
If you are anyway utterly unhappy with your book, please let us know within 7 working days of receipt and we can reach an agreement. The reason for an exchange must be strongly well-supported.
In the event of a return or exchange you will be responsible for all postage and (re)packaging charges including those incurred by Books on Tour when initially dispatching your box.
If your box is returned to us as undeliverable we will contact you and can send it out again if you send us a little bit of extra money to cover this second delivery.
Lost or Damaged Items:
If an item is lost in transit then, unless proven otherwise, Books on Tour will provide a refund or deliver a similar item. Please note that in the case of an item lost in transit, and so that we can make a claim to the Deutsche Post, customers may be contacted by the Deutsche Post to confirm the item has not been received. Please refer to the Postage and Delivery information to be sure when to contact us if you think your parcel has been lost.
If the book inside your parcel is received in a damaged or unusable state, then please contact Books on Tour as soon as possible (and within 7 working days of receipt). Books on Tour may require the book to be returned to us. If Books on Tour accepts that the book has arrived damaged, then you will be sent another one. We may ask you to send us a picture of the damaged book.
Cancelling your subscription:
If you have a subscription that has been bought as a one-off payment and wish to cancel it before it has expired you must contact us so that we can evaluate your case. Please note that we are not obliged to offer you a refund in this case as you have already been included in our future buying and plans for the coming months that your subscription comprises, but we will look at each case individually.
Reviews, Comments, Emails, and other content:
Visitors may post reviews, comments, and other content, and submit suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or other information, as long as the content is not illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties or objectionable and does not consist of or contain software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters mass mailings, or any form of “spam”. You may not use a false e-mail address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as to the origin of a card or other content.
Books on Tour reserves the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit such content , but does not regularly review posted content. If you do post content or submit material, and unless we indicate otherwise, you grant Books on Tour and its associates a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sub licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media. You grant Books on Tour and its associates the right to use the name that you submit in connection with such content, if they choose.
You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content that you post; that the content it accurate, that use of the content you supply does not violate this policy and will not cause injury to any person or entity, and that you will indemnify Books on Tour or its associates for all claims resulting from content you supply.
Books on Tour has the right but not the obligation to monitor and edit or remove any activity or content. Books on Tour takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any content posted by you or any third party.
Books on Tour reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without notifying you. An updated version of the Terms and Conditions will always be displayed on this website.
